Fragrance Notes
The first impression, and usually the lightest part of the fragrance. These notes evaporate first, which is how a fragrance is built to open.
As well as the top notes fading, your nose adapts to a constant scent and stops registering it, while people nearby still smell it. Smell your wrist after leaving the room, or ask someone close.
The main body of the scent, emerging as the top notes fade. It shapes how the fragrance smells once it settles on skin.

Heavier molecules that evaporate slowly, like woods, musk, amber and oud. They are there from the start, and they are what remains once the rest has faded.

TL;DR
- Floral gourmand, hazelnut-and-pear opening
- Best for: cooler weather, evening wear
Al Meesan Prestige opens on hazelnut, olibanum and pear, moving into jasmine sambac, osmanthus, saffron and rose at the heart. Akigalawood, sandalwood, ambergris, labdanum and vanilla settle the base into a warm, woody-amber close, a floral-gourmand profile suited to cooler months.
What Does Al Meesan Prestige Smell Like?
Al Meesan Prestige opens with hazelnut, olibanum and pear, a top that leans gourmand rather than fresh — hazelnut gives a roasted, nutty warmth, olibanum (frankincense) adds a resinous, slightly citrus-tinged lift, and pear brings a soft, juicy sweetness that keeps the pairing from feeling too dry or heavy this early. At the heart, jasmine sambac, osmanthus, saffron and rose form a dense floral cluster: jasmine sambac is rich and slightly indolic, osmanthus contributes an apricot-and-leather nuance unusual among white florals, saffron adds a dry, leathery spice, and rose ties the group together with a familiar, soft petal note. The base carries akigalawood, sandalwood, ambergris, labdanum and vanilla — akigalawood is a fermented, slightly dark woody note that gives the base an unusual depth, sandalwood adds creaminess, ambergris and labdanum bring warmth and a faintly salty-amber quality, and vanilla rounds the whole base into a soft, sweet finish. Taken together this reads as a floral-gourmand with real depth in the base, the hazelnut and akigalawood giving it a darker, more unusual edge than a straightforward jasmine-and-vanilla composition. The pear from the opening is worth calling out separately from the hazelnut: it is not a crisp, green pear but a softer, slightly cooked one, closer in feel to the fruit notes found in gourmand compositions than to a fresh fruity top.
How Does It Develop Through the Day?
The opening leads with hazelnut and pear, sweet and nutty at once, while olibanum's resinous edge is noticeable from the first minutes rather than arriving later. As the top settles, the floral heart takes over — jasmine sambac and osmanthus build first, with saffron's dry spice cutting through their richness, and rose arriving slightly after to round the cluster out. This middle stage is the most complex part of the wear, with the osmanthus's apricot-leather facet the most distinctive element to pick out. Later, the base of akigalawood, sandalwood, ambergris, labdanum and vanilla takes over, and the composition turns noticeably warmer and sweeter — vanilla and labdanum dominate the final stretch, with akigalawood's darker woodiness sitting underneath rather than leading. Ambergris keeps the close from turning purely sweet, adding a faint salinity late in the wear. The arc moves from nutty-resinous to dense white-floral to warm woody-amber, a shape that suits cooler weather where the richer base stage reads as comforting rather than heavy.
Is It for Men or Women?
Nothing in the notes points decisively to one gender, and no vote data exists to confirm a sharp lean either way, so this sits as a unisex fragrance. The dense floral heart is balanced by a dark, resinous base, a combination that reads rich rather than distinctly masculine or feminine. It wears equally well on either side of the counter.
Who It's For
Al Meesan Prestige suits anyone drawn to a dense floral heart set against a dark, resinous base rather than a light or single-note floral. The hazelnut-and-pear opening and akigalawood-and-vanilla base give it real depth, making it a natural fit for cooler weather and evening wear.
