Perfumes

Khadlaj Perfumes started in the United Arab Emirates in January 1997. The brand makes Arabic and French perfumes and fragrances for the home, and it lists Dehn Al Oud, rose and musk as its specialities. Khadlaj sells in more than 80 countries and runs 15 showrooms of its own, seven in the UAE and eight in Oman.

The founder of Khadlaj

Mohamed Iqbal Abdul Sattar founded Khadlaj and is its master perfumer, with more than 45 years in perfumery. He created Hareem Al Sultan in 2008, and Khadlaj says more than 10 million bottles have sold since. Bukhoor Al Bahaar and the Oud Pure and Musk Pure ranges are his too. He works with natural essences and with synthetic compounds, and he favours musk, Ruh Gulaab, oud and vetiver.

His son, Asif Mohamed Iqbal Katchi, is the managing director and has more than 18 years of experience.

Where Khadlaj perfumes are made

Khadlaj makes its perfumes in its own factory in Ras Al Khaimah. The factory is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and Khadlaj says it checks every product there and keeps its perfumes free of microbial and hazardous contaminants.

The head office is in Sharjah. Product development, marketing and customer relations run from there.

Khadlaj perfumes in South Africa

We stock Khadlaj in South Africa, including Hareem Al Sultan as an eau de parfum and as a perfume oil, and the Oud Pure and Musk Pure ranges. Most of our Khadlaj range is eau de parfum in 100ml bottles. We also sell attar, a concentrated perfume oil, and bakhoor, an incense you burn on charcoal or in an electric burner, together with Khadlaj deodorants and air fresheners. Try before you buy.
